Who says high-profile websites are unhackable? We just witnessed Moroccan hackers taking over websites of tech giants and those claiming to protect users from hackers.
A group of hackers going with the handle of The Exploit3rs hacked and defaced the official domains of Google, Microsoft and Kaspersky Labs all three designated for Morocco.
The group was able to hack into the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Morocco where domain.ma, google.co.ma, google.ma, microsoft.ma and Kaspersky.ma domains are hosted.
Hackers left a deface page along with a message on all four hacked websites showing off their skills.
“HEY! TODAY CCTLD MOROCCO 0WN3D!! YOU THINK THAT YOU CONTROL THE DOMAINS, BUT YOU DON’T! EVERYBODY KNOWS WRONG. WE CONTROL THE DOMAINS INCLUDING NIC MOROCCO! WE WANT TO INFORM YOU THAT WE CAN OWNANY .MA WEBSITE NOW.”
